In one musical interpretation of the “Night Before Christmas”, I can hear ♪”The presents are scattered and broken I fear, And St. Nicholas won’t come again for a year — woo, woo, woo, woo, woo.”♫ We’re packing up the decorations, the holiday candles are all burned down, holiday rehearsals and concert are over and everything is about eaten. What will I miss now that the holidays are officially over? Along with the sights, the smells and scents, the sounds, I will miss all the tastes of the holidays.
Ever since I was a little girl my mother has gifted us cans of cheese from her beloved Pacific Northwest. It just wouldn’t be the holidays without these blocks of cheese to enjoy throughout the holidays.
In recent years my mother has gifted us pears from Harry and David’s.
