Who
goes to
Germany
for the weekend?
Wishing my nephew
and his bride to be a
memorable Saturday
wedding! (I’ll be turning in grades,
and maybe just maybe grandbaby
boy will get here soon.) Best wishes, Congrats
are on my mind, tomorrow, Saturday to
“Tex” Alex and his Fraulein Rudolph. Happy day!
(Life is busy. Summer 2 is over. Fall term is
about to begin.) I expect pictures, lots of pictures.
Thank you in advance. Happy rehearsal dinner Friday night.
And Willie Nelson croons in my head “You are always on my mind.”
We are so honored to have been invited to the marienkirche in
Ilsenburg, Germany, around 2:30 PM on August 18th,
2012, to celebrate what you will refer to from now on
as your
BIG DAY. I send my deepest regrets. The rest of the family
will fill the church.

Congrats to them!
Thank you, Darla.
I guess if you live in Eastern France, you could do Germany for a day. the postcard is lovely.
Yes, rumbly. Only thing is I live in East TX. 🙂
Congratulations to them from the blogosphere. They know you are with them in spirit. And Willie Nelson? Perfect!
Thank you, Elyse! 🙂 I texted several of them this afternoon while they were at the rehearsal dinner. Kind of fun texting to Germany. Sigh…my thoughts are definitely with all of them there.
Sweet post to your nephew and his soon-to-be-bride. I, too, wish them a lifetime of happiness!
Thank you, Dianna.
Awwww…I wish you could go. I know you’ll be sending love and thoughts their way.
I do wish I could go, Barb. I am flying to Dallas this morning as there’s some more preparations for the baby event.
Wishing you nephew and his bride a happy and beautiful wedding filled with blessings. It’s always exciting to hear a family celebration that brings everyone together. Have a great weekend.
It has been a great weekend, IT. I’m with daughter #2 and SIL as they think of the last details before the baby event.
I just was introduced to the pantoum today, and some months back, to the villanelle. Now, I have the etheree – who knew there were so many poetic forms!?
Yours is lovely, and so full of a poignant mixture of regret, love and envy. It’s so hard not to be in all the places we wish to be! But of course they understand, and the photos will be wonderful.
And soon – that new baby! How excited you must be!
I will have to look into these forms. My sister texted me in the middle of the night it had been a “Gr-8 day.”
Yes, you did spot some envy there. I just can’t be there now. Baby is due in two weeks to the day, and I had to finalize grades.
Wishing all the best for the new couple. Wow, baby time is drawing ever nearer!
Thank you, Patti.
Lovely well wishes for your nephew and his new bride. Hope that new grandbaby of yours arrives safe and sound soon!
Thank you, mama. My sister texted from Germany “It was a Gr-8 day!”. And then, I spent the past weekend with daughter #2 getting her room ready for school. Although she will miss the first two months of school, she still wants everything ready…for the baby and for her students.
Love your etheree. What a lovely message for your nephew and his new wife. I’m so impressed how it looks like a Christmas tree. Granted I’ve only written a few etheree’s but I’ve never been able to do one that forms a shape like that.
I’m excitedly waiting with you for the baby…
You’re right, Rosie…perhaps it’s meant to be look to like a German tannenbaum. In writing 20 lines I had to move the extra words to another line that were centered. Now I know why a true etheree is 10 lines, but 20 created another product.
