I love my grandson!
My grandson always usually says the right thing. He and Mom decided it would be best if he came over on Sunday afternoon as she went Christmas shopping. He just couldn’t come along for that. I told her “Sure. No problem. Your dad has gone to the country to bring back more wood and check on things. And, I’m probably going to get THE tree in the afternoon. I can use some help with that.” We knew he would like that and then I added, “Also, I need to go to the grocery store since your dad hasn’t eaten anything but pizza, spaghetti and lasagna with my work marathon the past two weeks.”
“ooo, Grandma, …I love lasagna,” GS1 said.
Isn’t he great?
So the realtor called. “We’d like to do an Open House on Saturday. Is that all right?” “Well sure, if you think there may be house hunters.” Note to grandma: No need to get frantic. The tree is ready, there’s wood for the fire and the pantry is full.
Update: December 20, So realtor texted “I’m still working on the open house. Might be a hard weekend as so many people are leaving town. Might be better the weekend of the 4-5 of jan. when people are back in town.” Whew! Something told me “No need to get frantic.” I think I’ve lived a few years.
