Spring is definitely here and it promises to be a beautiful Easter weekend in my mind if not in the weather report.
1. My sister is in town staying with my mother. Look at the photo she posted on fb from my mother’s kitchen. We have a pretty hip mom serving up coffee like this.
2. Around mid-March Grandson worked the Plant Sale at our local arboretum. First, he counted people who walked through the front gate. Then he traded his clicker in for assisting customers with wagons to load up their plants. So this grading period’s community service is satisfied with 1.5 hours of training + 4 hours of work. “This is so much fun, Grandma.” Give a child a special job and he’ll do it cheerfully.
3. Doesn’t this bed of tulips look like a sea of marshmallows or eggs? A kind benefactor donated these white tulip bulbs that bloomed in mid-March. And doesn’t this ornamental kale look good enough to eat? The bees were a welcome sight doing their job pollinating and buzzing around. “Don’t get stung, Grandma.”
4. Meanwhile back in the country, I was talking to Rick on the phone when all of a sudden I hear “You’re kidding me. I’ll call you right back.” Oh no! I visualized cows in the yard or some such. This is what he saw…two of them together.
