And so today, we pack Andy off beyond our shores to Judith in New Zealand. sniff-sniff It’s not the Texas wildflowers that are making us sniff. We will miss him but know a world awaits him. Do contact Lenore to participate in this exchange experience.
Last week, we left Andy to recover after what should have been an epic sugar hangover. This week, as promised, we get to hear about Andy’s visit to the country, and his encounter with a gator.
Please remember to check out the blog of the woman behind Andy’s Texas adventure, Georgette. She has countless tales to tell, even without an armadillo:Georgette Sullins’ Blog.

Driving out into the country, we played ‘I Spy’ looking for one of Andy’s cousins.
Driving out to the country in Rick’s truck, he let me drive shot gun, as they say in these parts.
We stopped to nestle among the bluebonnets.
Ahhhh…lovely bed. Can I take a nap now?
Mama LD gave permission for Andy to play in the mud. I knew he would be happy here while there’s plenty to drink right now.

awww. happy travels, andy!
Now how to send…US post office or UPS? I’m about to find out.
(and the gator encounter is too funny…)
🙂 a gator of a different sort…that would be LD’s sense of humor…coming from GA she gets our TX gators
Have a blast, Andy! Good thing Mitt Romney is not sending Andy, or he’d be strapped in a crate to the top of an airplane!
haha…oh nosie…please, no…not our Andy…or he (Romney) may just want to fire all the patrolling armadillos and move their jobs to MI, WI or MA.
🙂
We are getting excited here waiting to welcome Andy to Wellington, When will he arrive.
Your timing is amazing. I just got back from the post office…today, Thursday March 29. They say 6-10 business days so I would say look for him between April 5 – 12. He could have arrived sooner but his fare reached $80-100 first class, so he’s flying economy for $38.00 weighing out at 1 lb. 8 oz. Look for a small box 6x6x6. You’ll absolutely love him. He is such a dear, so photogenic and always making friends. Do let me know when he arrives…we miss him already at our house. Have fun.
Poor Andy going on such a long trip. Does he travel with his blankie?
I wonder whether he’ll have trouble with the Kiwi accent?
He should be arriving to New Zealand this week…the PO gave a window of April 5 – April 12 for his arrival. Tune in on Judith’s site for further news and connections.
