The kitchen floor needed attention as it often does. It leads to the back door and there’s a lot of traipsin’ in and out that door. I usually use my Shark or my Kobeler with the rotating brushes. But one recent morning I used Molly Mop. After she had done her job I looked for a suitable place to dry her out, so I placed her on top of the corner of the fence where she could get full sun. A little while later I looked in her direction and saw this.
“Yeah,” my husband quipped, “it’s a cool 103 degrees outside and I thought Molly needed some SPF.”
My husband cracks me up out here in the country.
hahhhaa…waaay too cute.
Not very elegant, but he certainly made me giggle in the heat and among the chores.
Nothing worse than lobsterback mop.
🙂
Perfect picture for good fences. Your hubby’s sense of humor sounds like my Motor Man’s. Check out my post this morning on FB regarding that!
I saw your wp post and I haven’t headed to fb quite yet. Congratulations on the movie debut. Loved the actors and I loved the credits. 🙂 Husbands do support us in their own way.
That is hilarious!!!!
Usually, he quips and I forget his “gems”. But I couldn’t forget this one with the props and all.
oh, that was too cute!!! and i like that brand of sunscreen, too. 🙂
He keeps me laughing.
What a great sense of humor your country man has! Made me laugh out loud. 😀 It sounds exactly like something my son-in-law (oldest daughter’s hubby) would do!
Aren’t sons-in-law the greatest? Humor is always a great addition to the family.
Did she peel later? 😉
LOL…she sure did dry in just a few hours.
Ha! ha! I love it!
Where would we be without our funny men?
Oh, I needed to check SPF ‘sun protection factor’; haha got the punch line♡♡♡ Great photo of the fence with mop from good wife:-)
Sending Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*
haha…I usually use something mechanical, but a regular mop was in order. Thank you on the photo. It’s not very elegant but I had to take a picture of that funny moment.
At least he was trying to help in his own way.
You are so diplomatic. He was scarce the rest of the morning as to not walk through that door. 🙂
That’s a great Good Fence photo. I love the mop and your husband has a great sense of humor.
Oh goodness, he certainly keeps us smiling and chuckling.
a wonderful country image. love hubbys sense of humor.
Mopping was never this much fun in the city. We are loving re-inventing a lot of our routines.
Love it! The perfect spot for drying out! 🙂
We have company coming in this weekend and the mop will definitely be tucked away…in the garage.
How funny. It’s always great when our hubby’s exercise their sense of humor isn’t it.
Things are rather quiet out here in the country. We had a good laugh. 🙂
Tell him he made me giggle too! What a great sense of humor! 🙂
Dor, I will tell him. I think he lives to make people laugh.
A good sense of humor is one of the greatest gifts in the world. A good mop is on the “good things” list, too — but a little farther down. What a great photo and story – an afternoon laugh is a pretty good gift, too!
I’m so glad this made you laugh, too. A sense of humor does bind family and friends.
One of things I love most about hubbs is his excellent sense of humor. Looks like your Rick keeps you giggling, too 🙂 MJ
He certainly does and I’m so glad hubbs does that for you. He also, sings and dances, but those unexpected moments of lol do it for me.
🙂
LOL, funny Molly does not want to have a bad sunburn.. Cute photo.
Thank you, Eileen. Molly came out quite dry and freshly cleaned from the garden hose after her chore.
How precious was that?!?! I love it – he’s a hoot!!! 😊
You know him. He is a hoot.
We are so lucky to be married to guys with a sense of humour. My hubby would have said something similar.
We are lucky, Darlene. Nothing like a good mop and a sense of humor to just keep things cleaned up and tidy.
That is a cute, funny post.
Diana
Thank you, Diana. I couldn’t resist sharing.
Your husband has a great sense of humor. The sunscreen for Molly made me laugh. And yes, Molly probably needed it. It is hot in Texas at this month all the way till Sept. Nothing beats drying than the good old reliable Sun. Back in the Philippines we my folks does a lot of that. Here, its Mr. Dryer which is just as reliable and practical. Hope you had a great Summer my friend. God bless and all the best to you and your family. As for my mom, she is doing well. I’m glad we caught the problem on time.
You know in your field how important it is to break the routine, tension or worries with a good laugh. Laughter is very good because it comes as an unexpected gift.
Good one! 🙂

Have to watch out for Molly, she has such a fair complexion! It sounds like your husband is relaxing. My husband gets silly when rested and a day or two off.
Husband notices things, that’s for sure. 🙂
